General Road Map of what I want to do with Polarity:Acceptance
Hello!
I just wanted to come on here and say thank you for all the support on my very first project, it was such an amazing experience! I cant believe I did decently despite the fact that this was my first godot project as well as being my first game jam:)
I have so many ideas on how to improve this game, so I am going to list them out here. I hope that these details can be implemented when I have the time lolol.
First, I plan to apply all the feedback I received to this project. I will try to fix the art assets, polish the games overall scheme, and add more to the instruction part.
As well, I plan to add more levels and more mechanics.. cuz more fun :)
Some new core mechanics I wish to add will include:
Character skills: Wind girly will have some sort of wind powers that allow her to make wind currents in the air, which will nullify the affects of gravity for the time it exists. Earth boy will be able to create constructs.. or his own platforms that last for a specific amount of time
Element based polarities.... a toggle/ mechanic you can interact with in the game.. There will be two modes to match the elements of the main characters. Earth Mode will make movement on the ground much easier/ controllable, while increasing the affects of gravity(messes up air movement). Air mode will make jumping easier( easier to move in air), but makes movement on the ground like trying to walk on ice( very hard as it is slippery)
Collectibles: Collectibles are an essential to any platforming game, so I want to add that in here too.
